Feeling stressed? Feeling in need of rejuvenation? Feeling old and creaky? Feeling in need of a tonic? Then Holy Basil may be that magically ‘holy’ herb that will help you put a spring back in your step and a tune in your whistle. Holy Basil has been used in Indian traditional medicine for years to help with arthritis, provide a tonic for the heart, reduce one’s reaction to stress and relieve coughs and colds.
Holy Basil is used traditionally in Ayurvedic Medicine as a rejuvenating tonic and for the treatment of arthritis.
For best results, take holy basil extract on an empty stomach, which means about 15 minutes before a meal or snack, or at least 1 hour after.
Adults 18 and over: take 3 ml, 3 times per day.
For best absorption, squirt the tincture under your tongue and hold it there for a few seconds, then swallow. If you want to remove the alcohol, add the dosage to a half cup of freshly boiled water. The alcohol will evaporate off. Let it cool, and add honey or a splash of juice to make a yummy, rejuvenating drink!
