Rejuvenate! Ashawagandha is the herb that should come to mind when you are recovering from periods of exhaustion or illness. It has remarkable stress-relieving and rejuvenating properties, and helps to boost endurance while calming your nerves. Its only side effects are more restful sleep and better memory!
Ashwagandha is used traditionally in Ayurveda as a rejuvenating tonic and for relief of general debility.
For best results, take ashwagandha on an empty stomach, which means about 15 minutes before a meal or snack, or at least 1 hour after.
Adults 18 and over: take 2 ml, 5 times per day. To dispense, fill the dropper half way, which gives you 1 ml. Repeat to get 2 ml.
For best absorption, squirt the tincture under your tongue and hold it there for a few seconds, then swallow. If you want to remove the alcohol, add the dosage to a half cup of boiled water. The alcohol will evaporate off. Let it cool, and add honey or a splash of juice to make a yummy, rejuvenating drink!
Caution: Please talk to your healthcare practitioner before using ashwagandha if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Due to the possible sedating action of ashwagandha in some people, you should not take it with alcohol or other medications or natural health products that also have sedative action. And always talk to your healthcare practitioner if your symptoms hang on or get worse!
