Second Spring Organic Sprouted Lentil Trio - 325g
Our Organic Sprouted Lentil trio is a versatile and nutritious blend of green, black and brown lentils. Each variety goes through a slow soaking and sprouting period, so no pre-soaking is needed. This improves their digestibility, enhances their taste and texture, and reduces their cook time to just 10 minutes. One serving is 11g of protein, 9g of fibre and 19% of your daily iron. These lentils proudly grow and sprout in Canada.
Sprouted lentils are perfect for quick, colourful, filling and nourishing meals. They have a tender texture and mild earthy flavour. Like other pulses, they cook by simply boiling in water.
Sprouted lentils are great at absorbing the wonderful spices and aromatics in your meal. Throw them on top of a quick green salad or add to hearty soups, stews and grain bowls. Simmer in traditional, rich curry sauces or mix with vegetables for a satisfying casserole or warm lentil salad. You can even use these as a substitute for meat in pasta sauce or burger patties.

After sprouting, we carefully dry the lentils back down to their shelf stable moisture levels. This means you can store them as you would store unsprouted beans – in a cool, dry place.
Once you cook your sprouted pulses, they should be stored in an air-tight container in the fridge.
